i had a lot of fun with this game, but before buying it please be aware of how unintuitive it is. maybe im just stupid but the answers to the puzzles don't exactly jump out at you. the stories are great when you finally find out what to do but i had a really hard time with that and ended up using a guide pretty much the whole game. i didn't think it was worth it to guess and check because i couldn't enjoy the story at all if i was too busy dragging my mouse over the screen trying to guess what it wants me to look at, especially since the controls already take a lot of getting used to and theres plenty of bugs you can run into. this may take away from the game for some because it helped me avoid the options which depleted your meter or ended the sequence, but i didn't mind this at all because it made it easier to get all the endings and you can always save and go back at the end. overall, it was a really great game and i think its worth the money for those who want to experience it at their own pace but youd probably get just as much out of it as you would watching a playthrough

just to note, about halfway through ellen's sequence i could not figure out why i wasnt getting the dialogue i needed to progress with the anubis statue (i was stuck on her asking "so can you help with anything?" without getting the access code). make sure you first "look at" the statue so she explicitly notes that it's a robot before you talk to it

Ein Meisterwerk, was das Storytelling angeht, aber absolut grauenhaft, was das Gameplay betrifft.
Das Spiel ist richtig verstörend gestaltet. Der Hauptantagonist AM ist einfach nur hervorragend, seine Stimme, die vom Autor selbst stammen tut, passt perfekt zu ihm. Seine Zitate und sein Charakter sind einfach nur gut gelungen. Die Atmosphäre ist düster und brutal. Die Themen, die dieses Spiel behandelt, gibt es nicht oft. Es taucht sehr tief in psychologische und emotionale Abgründe ein, die einen mitreißen. Jeder Charakter wird in ein speziell für ihn geschaffenes Szenario geworfen. Man erfährt die Geschichte jedes Charakters, seine Fehler und was wirklich hinter AM steckt.

Kommen wir zum Gameplay. Die Rätsel sind absolut grauenhaft gestaltet. Man muss alles in perfekter Reihenfolge erledigen, sonst steckt man fest. Wenn man ein Item übersieht oder einen Dialog überspringt, kommt man später in der Geschichte nicht mehr weiter und muss neustarten und das bei fast jedem Charakter. Irgendwann habe ich aufgegeben und das Spiel mit einen Guide durchgespielt. Auch wenn das Spiel schon ziemlich alt ist, rechtfertigt das in keinster Weise das katastrophale Gameplay.

Ich empfehle das Spiel nur wegen der meisterhaften Story. Spielt es mit einem Guide oder schaut euch ein Walkthrough auf Youtube an. Es ist wirklich schade, dass eine solch großartige Geschichte eine derart schlechte Umsetzung bekommen hat.
