Curated List of The Best Coop Games
By LIMUNADE≋
This is a long list of well deserver coop games. I will make some updates either on the design or the list itself. There are plenty undiscovered games out there and with my help you'll be able to play them.

INTRODUCTION
With current era of mass consumption and marketing people have lost basic artistic taste in gaming. While most people support fraudulent companies , other corporate companies (like EA or Ubisoft) treat gamers as consumers (which heavily affects overall quality. Mass Effect Andromeda, hello!). And for absolutely no real reason people tolerate this.

Their scheme is simple. As long as you bought the game, you reserve a spot for [INSERT RANDOM CORPORATE NAME] in the market. Then companies: a) either “hold the switch” of their "product" as long as it lucrative and then turn the servers down (Darkspore); b) or through some time (about 5+ years) create a sequel/remake/remaster/goty/director's cut and other similar editions of the exact game (sometimes with the same assets) and sell it under a new “refreshed” label (Battlefield 3-4; Dead Island Series).

My list, however, heavily relies on the games destined to play with people. There are tons of incredible coop games, which demand to be played at least ones, before you go to the “ground”.

Of course my memo is not ending here. It would be reformed into something more informative in the nearest future (not into random text guide on steam page, lol).
COOP GOLDEN STANDART
Possibly, the best games designed to play with another human being

With leveling system, story, gameplay and mechanics I still can't forget this game. It's simply unbelievable! Personal favorite coop game of all times

Rich and unforgettable story-based game in sci-fi setting

A true coop masterpiece. I want all coop games to be designed like this one. This game deserves support and you can do that through cosmetic DLCs.

Great exploration game with in depth crafting system

With the amount of content, unique progression system and continuous support from developers this game will never be forgotten

One the best coop games in terms of game mechanics and replay-ability. A great re-presenter of rogue-like genre.

COOP, avant-garde story driven game with cyberpunk setting
~2 Months
Wonderful story-based game with LOST vibes all around it
3+ Weeks
Coop story goes along with singleplayer one. Unique in it's own way
~4 Months
I'm rather hesitant to put it in "coop-standart" tier but the amount of content and non existence of DLC speaks for it's self
3+ Months
Great vanilla experience and the infinite mod support (solo mods aside) does it's trick
Month+
"Fear" like story driven game. Hope someone will produce this game so it could be finished
6+ Months
You can't stop playing HL2 and related mods along with your buddies
4+ Months
Same as above but for HL1 and mods related to it

Regular updates and loooots of content. Honestly, it's the best f2p game
1+ Month
Darkest Dungeon graphics, build variety and interesting story mechanic.
1+ Month
Baked out of the early access, it's a masterpiece of generated events. In short: ARPG in space where violence is not always a solution.
FUN AND PLEASURE
Sometimes it's not about story sort-of games.

Could be rough at the beginning. Additionally there are tons of dlcs which cuts off overall fulfillment from the game

~3 Months
Pretty grindy and difficult. Additional content gated behind DLC.
~Year
Paradox's DLC money cow generator. However there is an "alternative" way to get all missing content w/o paying for it

6+ Months
In order to play in a small party of 4+ people you need to set-up your own server. Which means that you need some time to do things right. Also you are missing out on the content if you skipped on DLCs. Not to mention that there are 2 season passes!
4+ Months
A refined ARPG experience. Complex leveling system and variety of mods. No WASD support and pricy DLCs.
2+ Weeks
Lacking PvE content (story mod) but satire and humor are the best features. Another game mod could be fun too
3+ Months
Classic ARPG with anniversary edition title. Update added new content trough 2 DLCs which you need to buy
3+ Months
A potential candidate for high tier. Too early to tell at the current state
1.5+ Month
Don't forget to take it slow on the turns
6+ Days
Amazing it you remove the necessity to farm money
1+ Week
Ridiculously hard but trust me, it's manageable

2+ Weeks
Yep, you can play the story in coop
1+ Week
Yes, continue of the story and yet again in coop
LIST
Maybe in the future I will implement some advanced sorting (who knows).
